Your new job

In the role of support pedagogue, you will support and instruct participants in packaging and assembly work as well as in café tasks, dance, and social activities.

If necessary, for example before deadlines, you will also be responsible for completing tasks to ensure deliveries are ready on time. You will work with different participants, which means that routines, working methods, and structures may vary.

As a support pedagogue in our daily activities, you will work closely with the participant in their everyday life and be responsible for both executing and developing the interventions decided to support their independence. An important part of the role is to guide and support colleagues in applying a solution-oriented and pedagogical approach. Together with the participant and colleagues, you will identify development needs and work to implement health-promoting, pedagogical methods that enhance the participant's involvement, influence, and independence.

You will ensure the compliance of the operations with laws such as LSS and SoL, and keep yourself updated on national guidelines and knowledge management in the disability field to ensure an evidence-based approach. Your role also includes being a support in difficult conversations with participants, relatives, and representatives, as well as being responsible for social documentation that encourages participation. You will collaborate with relevant networks and have regular dialogues with the unit manager to further develop the operational methodology and quality.

Your qualifications

To apply, you should have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field with a pedagogical focus that includes at least 200 Yh points or 60 credits or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies.

• Support Pedagogue (Yh from various institutions)
• Treatment Pedagogue
• Social Pedagogue (400 Yh points)
• Activation Pedagogue within LSS

A requirement for the position is that you have at least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as physical disabilities. Experience with low-arousal approaches is important. Education in autism, clear communication, and low-arousal approaches is an advantage.

You must be proficient in Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension as there will be contact with participants, relatives, guardians, and other professionals, as well as documentation and reading information related to the work.

You are a self-driven and stable person who works energetically and with strong commitment. Through your ability to build relationships, you quickly establish trust and always act loyally in your assignment. You think strategically and have good judgment while maintaining a clear overall perspective. With a structured working method and good analytical problem-solving skills, you tackle challenges effectively and professionally. Welcome to us

Services, Culture and Service 1 are daily activities. We perform assembly and packaging assignments for companies, we bake, prepare light lunches, we dance, and we have an open operation with various social activities. The operations consist of approximately 75 participants and 28 staff members.

Good to know

The recruitment refers to a permanent full-time position. The start date for the position will be agreed upon. Working hours are scheduled during daytime Monday to Friday. An offer of employment in another daily activity may also be relevant.
